Synopsis:The film took us to the military collisions in Afghanistan. This had been represented from several poits of view. A senator (Tom Cruise)  created a new military strategy and tried to suggest an idea to the society with the help of journalist (Meryl Streep),two soldiers involved in that operation, and professor (Robert Redford) who narrated the story.

Lions for Lambs follows three storylines playing out simultaneously. Much of it taking place within the office of a U.S. senator and the office of a university professor. That senator is Republican Jasper Irving, who is clearly one of those guys in D.C. who is willing to do “whatever it takes” to win the war. His goal is to get the American people on his side and to do that he must use the media to create propaganda. He calls in journalist Janine Roth for an exclusive intervie.At the same time two determined students at a West Coast university, Arian and Ernest , at the urging of their idealistic professor, Dr. Malley (Redford), attempt to do something important with their lives. They make the bold decision to commission in the army to fight in Afghanistan after graduating from college.Finally, at a California university, Professor Stephen Malley (Redford) disputes with cynical and unmotivated Todd Hayes (Andrew Garfield) about his attitude to life and political adventure.

Undoubtedly, the play of actors is  excellent although there are no performances here that will shout out for Oscar nominations.

The movie gets its title from the phrase by a British general during World War I “never have I seen such lions being led by such lambs.” Maybe Lions For Lambs would have benefited if it focused more on the lions instead of the lambs.

 If you possess both a brain and a heart this movie will move and shake you into action. As it does present you with the argument, it does leave it up to the viewer to make the decision, and eventually the action.This movie is charged, assertive, inspiring and fuses a sense of purpose into our currently hazy, blind society. Watch this movie. Get inspired. Do something.
